Back Cover Copy woo!

I already got back cover copy for Be With Me (Berkley book 3) which I just sold a week ago. I snagged another 08 slot for this one though and have a tight deadline in order to get it so things are moving pretty quickly. The good news? I really liked the copy. I tweaked it some and tightened it but I left the nuts and bolts as it was written. It’s made me even more excited to write the book. I can’t wait to dig in.

But first there’s this matter of another book I have to finish… :vaccuum:

I’m supposed to be done by this weekend though, and I think I’ll make that self-imposed deadline. I’m building towards that big climatic all things go to shit scene and the closer I get to the end, the more focused I’ll become and the more I’ll make myself write. I’m seeing a few sleepless nights later this week.

And THEN, then, then, then, on MONDAY, I get to dive into Be With Me. :whoo:

And to think I get paid for having this much fun…. Life’s a bitch ain’t it? :lol2:

Party time, ebooks, wooooo

Samhain Publishing is celebrating their second anniversary (has it only been two years??) and all this weekend and for the coming week, the authors are coming out on the Samhain Cafe to post excerpts and fun contests etc. (You do not have to “join” the yahoo loop in order to read the messages and excerpts) I’m doing my Wish List contest again, which gives readers a chance at winning five ebooks of their choice, but you’ll have to hop over to the cafe for details :lol2:

I’ll be around today starting at 2pm Central time and then again on Monday, Wed and Thurs to discuss my past, current and future releases.

And psssst. Just a little over a week until Long Road Home releases :whoo:

When a member of the CIA’s premiere counter terrorism unit discovers the woman he loves is a suspected terrorist, he’ll go to any lengths to uncover the truth.

Jules Trehan disappeared without a trace three years ago much to the dismay of her parents and Manuel Ramirez. A counter terrorism specialist, Manny has utilized every agency resource in his attempt to discover what happened to Jules, to no avail.

As suddenly as she disappeared, Jules reappears in a small Colorado town. Injured in an explosion, she’s hospitalized, and Manny rushes to her side, determined not to ever let her go again.

But Jules has one last job to do or Manny’s life will be forfeit. A mission she must complete, even if it means betraying the only man she’s ever loved.

You can go here for an excerpt.

One minute I'm moaning about Monday

and the next it’s already Saturday. :beam:

Things are tight for me right now, writing wise, which means no reading, no slacking, no whining. I’m happy with my progress, though. Turned in one of my projects a week or so ago and I’m on schedule to turn in another around Nov 10ish. Then I have a short deadline for my next Berkley book, but the nice thing is, it’s the only book during that time frame that I have to concentrate on. I’ve been sorta juggling two for the last little bit, and I don’t juggle well. I’m linear to a T. I can’t write on multiple things at a time. I’m a line em up and do em one by one type of gal.

I won’t even think of the books in queue after the Berkley book lol. I have three more to write before June 1. But once again, like last year, once I get to June, I’ll have a gap of time. Sorta weird how that works out. Summer seems to be my slow down period. Good time for vacation, I’m thinking :woot:
